The following terms and conditions are the basis of a legal agreement between a company Liquid Gold Limited who operate and manage the Web site Cardshop.ie located at Willowbrook, Sligo, Ireland and the users of this website. By accessing, browsing or using this Web site you agree that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound to these Terms and Conditions and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. This agreement limits our liability to you. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do not use this Site.

Cards

Cards are all folded to five inches wide and seven inches tall. All cards stand portrait and are a strong 230gm. All of the items shown on the website are accurately represented however some variations may occur.

Price, Postage and Value Added Tax

Prices of all greetings cards are inclusive of V.A.T. Postage costs are additional. Typically these are 55 cent for within Ireland and 82 cent for the rest of the world. A confirmation order will be e-mailed after an order is confirmed.  

Delivery

We aim to post all orders within the schedule published in the Cards section. However, all cards are posted using the normal mail of the Irish Postal System “An Post”. We will not promise that a card will be delivered since this is out of our control. Letters can get lost or delayed in the post. When you use this service you acknowledge that fact.

Content of a card

The purpose of this website is to enable customers to send personal greetings in a convenient fashion for suitable occasions. The greetings should be reflective of the occasion. It is not intended that this website be used to send offensive or inappropriate messages or images of any kind. 

We reserve the right to not dispatch a card if we observe that a greeting may be contrary to the spirit of the site.

This website will not accept responsibility for any messages appearing on greeting cards dispatched by this website.

By using this site you agree not to use the website directly or indirectly for any unlawful purpose or so as to cause distress or offence to any person. The website should not be used to transmit any information that may have a value associated with it or a cost associated with its loss. This site is purely for recreational purposes in order to send expressions to mark certain occasions.

We reserve the right to cancel the registration of any customer who we believe is abusing the service.

Communication

After you place an order with this website we will send you an automatic e-mail with the details of the order. If you have chosen to receive e-mail newsletters from our site we will use this consent to inform you of special events or offers we may have from time to time. You may choose to not receive e-mails of offers or events by accessing your account and updating your settings.

Defective goods

We have put procedures in place to ensure all greeting cards are dispatched in perfect condition. Occasionally greeting cards may be slightly damaged during the printing or packaging process. If this damage is not detected before dispatch and if the recipient of the card is not satisfied with the card then we will endeavor to rectify the situation at the earliest opportunity.

If it is appropriate please contact us immediately and we will send another card at no additional cost.

Otherwise the following procedure must be followed if all parties are to resolve the problem promptly.

The card must be physically returned to us at cardshop.ie within 7 days of receipt at the expense of the claimant.

A letter stating the problem must accompany the card

A copy of the confirmation order e-mail must accompany the letter and card.

We will then review the issue and respond in writing within 7 more days.

Prepay credit

All users are entitled to avail of our prepay service. This credit can be used to buy cards and pay for postage. If adequate credit is not available you will be directed to Paypal to top-up to the value of your purchase. Any unused credit will be refunded to the user on request. Please note any additional free credit granted cannot be taken as a refund. Only the monies paid in and unused can be refunded.

Payments

Customers without prepaid credit can pay for each individual order by credit card. You will be  transferred directly to Paypal to pay for your purchase. Your credit card details are not recorded or stored in our database. Once we have received authorisation from the Payment Service Provider we confirm your order.

Inactive accounts with prepaid credit

If you do not place any orders for a 12 month period we will send an e-mail to the address in your Account Details to remind you of your balance. This will be repeated again at 18 months. When a period of 24 months has passed with no orders placed we will assume that your account is no longer active and the Prepay balance will expire.

Refunds

Customers may request a refund of prepaid credit by contacting us. Refunds will only be made to the credit card account used to make the original purchase.

In order to receive e mail reminders from cardshop.ie you must opt in. You may opt out at any time by amending your details in your account 

Images

All greeting card images shown on this website are the property of cardshop.ie. No images may be copied or used by any person or entity in any way whatsoever. The images shown on this site may only be used by this site to provide greeting cards as ordered on this site.

Other content of the website

All content of the website is protected by our own or our third party copyrights, trade-marks, rights and laws.

Due to the nature of this service it is possible that this website may not be available to use from time to time. This may be either due to technical issues with us or problems you may have. We cannot confirm that this service will be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week but we will try and ensure it is. We cannot accept liability for any issue arising from the unavailability of this service.

Update of site

We reserve the right to update the website from time to time without informing customers.
